At the end of the school year, they boys of Year 8 at Menorah Grammer School presented Dayan Abraham, and Shuvu UK Chairman, David Blachman with 10 pairs of Tefillin purchased with their very own Bar Mitzvah Money!
Rabbi Dovid Sulzbacher, Head of Jewish Studies at Menorah, was extremely proud of the selfless generosity of the Year 8 boys, who chose to share in the celebration of their Bar Mitzvah by donating money to purchase tefillin for Shuvu boys who would otherwise be unable to own their pair of Tefillin.
Stav Pinto, who attends 7th Grade at Shuvu Beit Shemesh, thanked the boys of Year 8 Menorah, in a filmed message, on behalf of Shuvu. He commented on the responsibility and thoughfulness demonstrated by the boys Menorah in ensuring others celebrating their Bar Mitzvah should also have the opportunity to own a set of Tefillin.
We look forward to many more years of the special partnership between Shuvu and Menorah Grammar School.
